RogueNight Plans As Discussed Today
Word diggity,
K, I figured a new post should happen asap so we have all our information in a central location...
So have some dates!:
January:
14 - 25 is poster week. All submissions are due the 25. Wade will ask around his English dept. connections for info about the 21st, if we can get into classrooms and what not.
February:
By the 8th we will want to have all our submissions confirmed and ideally it would be great to have a mock up shortly after this. I'm thinking round tabling on the 8th? Maybe even the 9th, which is the Saturday after, to give us enough time. I think we did a Saturday last year. (for the noobs, round tabling basically entails sending each poem submitted around the circle and each of us signs off yes or no. more details will be given when it actually happens and what not). The week following the 8th will also probably involve sending out notices to those accepted, informing them that they are indeed accepted.
The 22nd, we HAVE to have all our copies of this years magazine. The days leading up to the 29th will be planning the actual RogueNight.
THEN BAM, 29th is it. And it will be amazing because we will make it so.
I'm pretty sure those dates are all correct but if they aren't or I forgot some, holla.
This weekend, however, we all need to focus on just on posters. They need to have the following information:
Rogue is accepting submissions
Submit to the Rogue box in Easter room
Box opens the 14th and closes 25th at the end of the school day
Legible writing/typed
Appropriate content
No longer than 30 lines, I believe it is? Yes? No?
I think that's it?
Should we have a number for everyone? Fair to say we should make at least 20 each? We need to PLASTER the hallways, fo sho.
At some point we need to get an announcement detailing all of this on the intercom in as well.
Also, how do we want them to submit? To make our mock up easier I'm thinking some sort of limit of space. Like, __inches by __inches. Just to make things easier on us? I don't know. THOUGHTS? I mean, we COULD make actual forms, but the problem would be time, because we'd have to have them for Monday...
Right. Sorry this is so friggin long. I tried to remember everything we talked about, but I probably forget some things, so post things as you guys think of them...
A'ight.

Shit, I didn't even realize how long that was until I looked at it. Sorry.........:/
Oh. That was me. Signed into the wrong account. I'm confusing myself.
Jesus that was long. uh. posters.....
We need to find a home for the Rogue box.
We also need to decide on what submissions should look like before posters are made. I say whatever they turn in until we know if they're in.
The post wasn't that long KT but my heart is broken because you wouldn't have pie with me ) =
PIE!!!!!
and ill talk to youngker today
and my dad
Hm. I wanted to say the line limit was something weird, but 30 is sounding right, now. Did we used to do 22 or something?
Someone should call me with the update on Easter. His internet absence is disturbing to me.
Ok. Something was said about submision forms?...
If so what are the details?
And where are we hiusing the rogue box?
As soon as I know all of this I will start making posters.
And your post wasn't that long KT.
Joe just has the attention span of a two year old.
:)
and also, I will make a copy of those pages in my planner and atempt to post a printable version on my site.
KT!!! You should have announced it was you at the *beginning* of the post :( :(
sorry, good job sounding Easter-ish though. :)
It wasn't long at all, I thought, but I will start on poster as soon as possible and when ever we need to I can stay after school and I'm so excited!
lol@ brooke's comment on Joe's attention span...so true...
Details of submission forms are kinda like this: once upon a time Rogue decided to be organized about submission, and actually made a form, and the tale goes is that it made making the book easier. It doesn't have to happen, but we should decide how we want them submitted. Last year we had them do whatever, like Margaret mentioned, and then when we had decided we had them redo them in a better format.
Yeahhhhh...
I could make up a form if we needed one. I think I can score free copier access. I'm sort of excited about the roundtable read.
I think we have a form made, but free copying would be amazing! Are you sure you can do that, and if so, when? like, today?
any word on Youngker, wade?
also, we have submission forms now officially. yay?
and they are SOOOOOO amazing!
We have 103 copies!
youngker agreed
I'll have my posters tomorrow should I just put them up after school...or what?
I love it when you get all assertive KT. It's hot.
haha j.k. sounds good.

Joe and I hung some posters this morning. So all fairly literate students should be somewhat notified.
Tomorrow I plan to come early again and hang some more.
And also, if you would like a copy of our calendar; seek me to acquire.
