The Brookside Library wants to have our baby!

Alright. After little consideration of other venues, I contacted the Brookside Library about our meeting there--in their meeting room. Guess what? They're down! We've got 12 meetings slated there--every Friday until the middle of November. The head librarian said we can go to Quik Trip (right across the street), get coffee there--or snacks, whatever--and bring them to our meetings (so long as we clean up after ourselves). It's a BIG meeting room, but there are doors that close it off from the rest of the library to make the space more private. There are tables. There are chairs. There's room to dance (or make ritual sacrifices)! Sooooo this Friday will be our first meeting there. We've got the space just until 5:15p, so we need to get there as soon as possible. In future weeks, we can stay until 5:30-45ish. I made an executive decision on this because we need a reliable venue.

The Brookside Library is on 45th & Peoria (actually it's on 45th just W of Peoria), conveniently located behind a Salvation Army thrift store (HOW PERFECT IS THIS?!).

And that's all I've got to say. Except: Be sure you have at least 2 good, complete poems to share on Friday. It'll be Margaret's first Roguevent, so we need to be put together.

Much love.

Easter

We have to get used to saying Friday Brookside instead of Friday SoB...
Such a change...
But the ritual sacrifice space is a definite plus. :]
We will be very put together; as very put together as Rogue can be.

okay, i laughed when you wrote ritual sacrafies bacause i can see us doing that. Also, we can call it bs instead of brookside and or bsl, or library bs or brooksidary. thats a combination of them. Um, any more original ideas?

WTF?
Um...yeah. Sorry I missed the first BSL event.
For the record, I think the verb should remain SoB, in honor of, you know, three years of weekly tradition.
An example conversation follows.
Rogue A: Are we SoBbing this Friday?
Rogue B: Yeah. We have Brookside until 5:30.

Houston is so far really cool. But, you know. Full of traffic and Texas flags.
