Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

It doesn't feel like Tuesday. What of that? And it certainly doesn't feel like FAT Tuesday--which it is. But maybe Fat Tuesday doesn't have a feel. Or if it did, perhaps it would be marshmallow-y, and that'd be gross. I'd squish it because it would invite that with its whole marshmallow-y nature, but then I'd be grossed out. And I'd laugh a little because the exchange would be awkward. And I might eat some of Fat Tuesday just to get that weird vocal quality that can only be achieved by having a mouthful of marshmallow. Oh, well.

Dang it. Now I want a marshmallow.

As I'm looking down the week at Friday (as always) I'm thinking that's our xangasite posted deadline for essays for new rogues. Are we going to put up some signs and extend the date? Wade turned in an essay to me today; I have not read it. If any of you want to read it before Friday, drop by.

Rent?

So what did you all think of the movie? I watched no movie last night, but I did get more good rest and am feeling right as rain today. And the sunshine? Oh yeah. It's great. At least it looks like springtime today.

One note: We're really slacking on making our recruitment plans. No, Joe, we're not going to make it a competitive event. Seriously, folks. If you're wanting some kind of late spring RogueNight, you've got to get your staff organized now. Think on it.

I'm off to declutter my potrack.

To be or not to be--sick

Morning dearies,

So I'm sort of sick and sort of not sick. But because what I've got seems to be viral, I decided not to come to school today. Last night my fever leveled out at 102 but I've worked with my buddies H20 and Tylenol to combat that number, and I'm down to a solid 99. Since my natural core temp is 97.2, 99 is still a couple of degrees, but it's much better.

My plan is to come to SoB--if my fever doesn't spike, that is. According to old wives' tales, when you've got a virus w/ a high fever, you're contagious. You guys call my cell after school when you're ready to move on to SoB.

Jessie: Since I've given a message that you come read this site, please do your best to inform the rogues that SoB is still on and that I'll probably be there. Tina, Katrina, and Joe will probably assume everything's canceled when they don't see me in class.

As for Rent, well, I guess my viewing it will have to wait. *dismay* In due time...in due time...

...taking some time to learn...

Greetings, all. OK. So it is taking me some time to get well-acquainted with the features of this blog--mainly like how I make a new post! I sort of fell bass-ackwards into it this time, but...it's going to take some time for me to get comfortable.

That said, I want to encourage you all to give it your best try. It's important to move away from xanga, I think. We will manage that site for the purpose of marketing, but that's about it. This site should be more private AND accessible from school. Who could ask for more?

So I know Jessie's already here, and Katrina, KC, and Joe have signed on. Deena? Tina? Jennie? Raul?

*grumbling*: I'm off to grade.

Ice Pellets Abound!

OMG. I decided to get something accomplished today, so I grabbed some trash from the kitchen and proceeded outside down my driveway to the trashcan. Then it happened: ASSAULT! I was pelted by ice pellets! I scurried back into the house after depositing my refuse and decided to scrap my plan for going to Target.

Anyhow, it's a great day for us to work on Rogue-related items; for example, if any of you want to draw up some plans for recruitment posters, that'd be great.

As for me, well, I am going to go and finally open my bag of work I brought home. I didn't so much as get it out of the car until my trip out to the trash this morning. And since I'm getting a bit stir crazy being stuck inside, a bit of work should do me good. And maybe some redecorating. Yeah, I think I'll reward myself by redoing my mantel later this afteroon.

And just to remind you all: Please don't advertise the existence of this blog. The longer we can keep it limited to just our organization the better. Do I need to remind everyone why I started making private all of the posts on xanga?

I hope you're all warm and busy doing something to pass the time...

Alright Rogues, this is to be our new home. Yes, right here on this couch. OK. Maybe not. I was just playing with the image hosting abilities of this site--which seem better than those on xanga.

While you're snowed in, how about you create an account on this site? Please observe these blog set-up suggestions: (1) do not post your name or any personal information about yourself, (2) do not post your picture, and (3) consider privatizing your posts--esp. if they're poetry--to protect your material from being stolen. I'm offering these suggestions because I want you to be safe.
