Garaga Sala
It's doubtful that our plans for the garage sale will be realized this weekend, what with the chance for rain growing with each forecast. In any event, the stuff we've got at Kaytee's house we need to organize and price. So that calls for a RogueEvent @ Kaytee's tomorrow night--let's say 6:30p? We won't have to work long if many people roll out. Then, again based on weather, we'll decide whether to return to Kaytee's Friday night for more prep work or if we scrap that plan, reschedule the garage sale, and SoB instead. For now, I want you to post your commitments to at least a little work tomorrow night.Shout out, ya'll.Easter
$25 of preexisting Rogue$ was used for booth rent
$35 of preexisting Rogue$ was used to buy t-shirts
Current Rogue Funds @ beginning of my calculations: $371 ($431 less $60 returned to Easter—see below)
$40 of preexisting Rogue$ was used as change.
That was later replaced, and Gross Gain reflects it.
($60 was added by Easter so we’d have enough change.
Current Funds are after $60 was returned to Easter.)
Gross Gain from Spring Market: $331
Subtractions:
-$27 Wal-Mart supplies (jewelry wire, etc.)
-$30 $1 Shop (bubble necklaces)
Return to Easter $57
Net Gain from Spring Market: $274
New Current Rogue Funds: $314 (net gain + preexisting $40)
Original Goal: $440 ($400 + whatever we had in the Rogue bank).
That means, we need $126 from the garage sale to meet our goal, and I think that's totally do-able.
Now, read over this, make sure it makes sense (because I've worked on this several times throughout the day and at each point it made sense to me but I haven't looked over it thoroughly one last time).
Much love,
Easter
Here's to our successes...
The Spring Market, I'm pleased to say, was a great success. We'll have the final tally on $ tomorrow, but I know we're in the black over $300. That rocks. And as we turn our attentions toward the garage sale, here are the things to keep in mind: We can only sell what's donated...so get to drumming up donations! Time's running out for the sale!As far as working this week, here's what I've slated for you: Thursday & Friday evenings @ Katie's house--the goals of which are organizing, pricing, and making signs. Depending on how Katie's mom feels about it, I'm thinking we should try to meet from about 6-8p Thursday night and 4-? Friday night. But let me reiterate: Stuff! We need stuff! And cheap/disposable hangers! Tina's host family has stuff they've got ready that we'll get this week--and so does Jessie's family. I've got stuff, too (duh). But the more we've got to sell, the more $ we stand to make.Let's follow this weekend's success with another!<3>

Spring Market Sign-Up
OK. It's getting closer to Spring Market time, so this is the email I've been promising. Spring Market runs from 9a-5p on Saturday 4/22. I'm scheduling 3 shifts: set-up, lunch hour, and take-down.Set-up: 8:30a - 11:30aLunch hour: 11:30a - 2:30pTake-down: 2:30p- 5:30pI need everyone to post his/her availability. We need at least 2 people per shift with a max. of 3.Shift descriptions are as follow:Set-up: arrive half an hour before Market begins and get items for sale arranged, get signage up, get money organized, and sell goodsLunch hour: sell goodsTake-down: sell goods, and at the end of Market (around 5p) take down signage, pack up unsold merchandise, count/organize money, put away tables, displays, etc.I will definitely be at the set-up shift, and I may pop in throughout the day or at least be available by phone if anyone needs anything. What about you?Easter
Easter Monday
Hi All,First let me address KC's last comment: Yes, there was a glowing ad in the paper about Spring Market--75+ vendors, professional craftspeople, etc. We weren't mentioned because we signed on late-ish. But we got in for the $25 rate instead of $50-75, so it's sort of a trade-off. As far as I'm concerned, our jewelry will have more heart than the pros', and it'll be cheaper, too. That's always been my niche: underselling the competition! Now, to review: Tomorrow (Tuesday) if you can go thrifting, meet in my room right after school. I can take 4 people in my car. We'll go to a couple of thrift shops. Depending on everything, I can probably take home anyone who needs a ride. Wednesday & Thursday, we'll be painting in my room after school. Friday after school is set-up for Spring Market. In the next day or so I'll be notified of our booth location.I'll make a special post soon for people to sign up for shifts at the Saturday Spring Market. As for the garage sale, my email to all staff in both the MS and HS went out today. I hope some of my colleagues will help out by bringing some stuff. With that in mind, the morning crew would be helpful to assist in the cleaning up of my room in the next couple of days. If we start getting bags of donations, we need a place to put them without piling them in on top of the rest of my crap.Jessie: Get $ from me before you buy bandanas and buy only one of each color...I'm guessing we can get multiple necklaces from each bandana...Much <3,Easter
At last
Oh, I'm really dreadfully sorry about not updating in so long.
It's Saturday morning. Early. And it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. I hope you all do something fun in celebration! As for tomorrow, those who can, be at my house around 5:00p. No pressure. Like I've said about all of our functions, if you come to everything you can then you'll have come to enough. OK. So I actually haven't said that, and we've kicked people off staff for having that kind of attitude...I guess what I'm saying is that tomorrow's Easter, and I know some of your parents might furrow their brows about your doing something on this holiday.
On-tap for the rest of this week:
(1) Thrifting after school Tuesday. Meet in my room after school. (need 3-4 people)
(2) Rogue shirt painting after school Wednesday & Thursday. (need 3-4 people)
(3) Spring Market set-up after school Friday (need 3-4 people)
(4) Spring Market sales Saturday (unlimited)
(5) Gathering goods to sell 4/29 all week long (unlimited)
Please "sign up" for the activities you can attend.
Katrina's got a job, so she, Jennie, and Deena are probably out-of-the-picture for most of this stuff. That leaves Raul, Jessie, KC, Tina, Katie, Wade, & Joe...and Tina's been unavailable a lot lately.
Look at your calendars...and pencil in the Rogue activities you can attend. We're in a BUSY season--it feels like RogueNight season!
Heart 12,
Easter
Sunday, Yes.
On tap this week: Sunday art day at my house. I booked us for 5/20 at B & N. I booked us AFTER jazz--in the 7:30ish timeframe. And yes, I actually asked for 7:30ish. Originally I asked for 8:00p, but the coordinator said, "The Jazz group and Rogue are the two biggest events of the week, so having them back-to-back would be great, and Jazz wraps at 7:30p." I told her people would need time to relocate if they ARE going to follow from one act to another, so she conceded to give us "7:30ish."Yay for relative time!KC is at Hobby Lobby looking for tiny letters we can impress in a small disc of clay or something to create a Rogue pendant for Rogue necklaces. I hope she found something! Oh, and I think she's going to pick up some hemp, too.Aiight, let's review Sunday's art projects:(1) bandana necklaces (WADE)(2) hemp macrame (JESSIE & KC)(3) miscellaneous beading (ME & KATIE)The rest of you will please join in where you care to learn--or if there are hidden talents among you, by all means, let me know ASAP so I can procure project materials!Soon we need to plan on getting back to the thrift store(s) to get a healthy crop of t-shirts to Rogue up. Any takers?I'm restless. I think I'll go sort through my CDs and reacquaint myself with longlost friends.<3 6 x 2

Beading/Jewelry LessonsSaturday April 22: Spring Market 8a-?Saturday April 29: GRAJ SAYL 8a-?Clearly you're not expected to be at every activity--but you're certainly encouraged to come to as many events as possible. It's probably at the Spring Market where we'll need the most people in attendance, so plan accordingly. We'll plan to have shifts so that no one has to work all day (8a-12:30p; 12:30p-5). The same will be true (shifts of work) for the garage sale.In order that we be as successful in this endeavor as possible, I need commitments from everyone. I was thinking of making you sign an oath of duty in blood, but there's the biohazard issue and all...WE NEED STUFF! Please do your best to get stuff for the garage sale. If you can't find things at home, consider asking relatives or neighbors. Many neighborhoods have 'neighborhood associations'; if you could contact your association's president and get the word out that a school organization is seeking donations, we might get some good stuff to sell. I'm going to try to get an email sent out to the faculty about donating, but please don't rely on me to drum up all of the stuff. Oh, and if you've got any broken jewelry w/ charms or beads on it, bring it to our jewelry session, and we'll salvage/re-use what we can. That's enough for now.Heart12,Easter
